Truro 3 Arts Grand Piano Appeal 2019 - fundraising target reached!


Truro 3 Arts are very grateful for the generous response to our request for donations to enable the purchase of a new instrument for society use.   The instrument will ensure that T3A continue to invite the very best chamber music performers to perform.  The piano will be located at Truro College, and will also be used by students and teachers.

Enescu:  Cantabile and Allegro

Prokofiev:  Flute Sonata in D major Op.94


Born in 1984, in Havana, Cuba, Jose studied flute and piano.  During this period of study, he received second prize in Amadeo Roldan's National Flute Competition (1997).  After auditioning in London, England, Jose accepted a full scholarship for the Bachelor of Music Degree at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, beginning studies in 2003.


He has performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Southbank Sinfonia and the BBC Naitonal Orchestra of Wales.  Jose also runs Cuban music workshops for several notable international flute summer schools.


Jose's duo partner, Louisa Lam, has studied at King's College, London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
